New Day: Pour Conference

New Day: Pour Conference

The Solemnity of Pentecost recognizes the sometimes overlooked third member of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit.Celebrating the Holy Spirit’s role in launching the Church, Pentecost takes place on the seventh Sunday (50th day) after the Pascha.

It follows the Ascension, where Jesus ascended into heaven and was no longer physically present with his disciples.

Before he left the disciples, Jesus told them, “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age,” (Matthew 28:20). He also said to them, " I am sending the Promise of My Father [the Holy Spirit] upon you; but you are to remain (wait) in the city [of Jerusalem] until you are clothed (fully equipped) with power from on high.”(Luke 24:49)

Through the Holy Spirit’s descent as a mighty wind, sparking tongues of fire above them, the disciples recognized Jesus was indeed with them, as upon reception of the promise through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they went out in the fullness of power, being strengthening to fulfill the divine commission.

Please stay with me and as God has promised, we also shall experience the Holy Spirit right here at this Upper Room experience dubbed, "Pour 2024". Don't miss!
